[vtkusers] How to write a float array to a TIFF image

I am trying to write an image to a TIFF file using vtkTIFFWriter. I have an 
image of type float and copied it to vtkFloatArray. I am having difficulties 
in trying to get it converted to a type that the vtkTIFFWriter could 
recognize. Does anyone have an idea of how to get this done.

Array of points(image)  ---> vtkFloatArray----> ?????? ----->vtkTIFFWriter
