[vtkusers] How to apply different colors to a sphere created using vtkSphereSource

hi,

i want to have a sphere with the color intensity changing from Red to blue , 
from the one pole of the sphere to its other end(i.e from one end to the 
other).

can anyone tell me, how can i do it using lookup table.
