[vtkusers] How to write the volume(not a single BMP file) created by vtkvolumeraycastcompositefunction ?

Hi,
   I created a volume by vrkvolumeraycastcompositefunction,now I want to save it as a volume dataset preparing for the coming processing. But I can only write it as a single BMP file by vtkWindowToImageFilter,not a complicated volume dataset.I need read it by vtkvolumeread function.
   Who can help me?
