[vtkusers] vtkAppendPolyData ?

hi all,
I use the vtkAppendPolyData to append several datasets into one(the 
original datasets are some points and lines), and then I use the 
vtkXMLWriter to write it to a file. when I read it back, it only gives 
me one datasets contains all the lines. How can I get the seperated 
lines out of the this?
