[vtkusers] Beginner tutorials

Hello vtkusers,

I am new to both VTK and (obviously) this mailing list.  I would like
to know if you know of any beginner-friendly tutorials on how to use
VTK, preferably with C++ (using MS Visual C++ 6).
Any help would be much appreciated.
