[vtkusers] Python wrapping on Windows with .NET 2003

Dear All,

I have been trying out to compile different combinations of VTK (VTK 4.4
and 4.2) with different versions of Python (2.1, 2.2 and 2.3) and of
ActiveTcl.

For one reason or another I keep getting compilation errors ( for
example Cmake 2.0 suggests that not having python22_d.lib should not be
a problem, at compile timr, but I get an unresolved external link error,
as the linker is looking for python22_d.lib )

I understand many are experiencing similar problems when trying to get
the python wrapping compiled.

Has anyone succeeded with .NET 2003 ? If so, I would be thankful for
hearing about which versions of VTK were used with which versions of
python and tcl.

As a personal comment, and to may understanding, it would be beneficial
to have a small page on the VTK website, stating which configurations
(VTK, Pyhton, Tcl, Java) are know to work together. Not being this
information known, the risk is of loosing time installing and
uninstalling newer and older versions of pyhton and tcl, and continuing
to get compile errors.

Best Regards and thanks in advance for any help,

Andrea Borsic.
