[vtkusers] VTK vs. OpenGL

Dear all,

I'm new to visualization. My project is visualization of volumetric
medical data. Now I wonder, VTK and OpenGL, which one is more suitable
for me to use. Compared with OpenGL, VTK is in a higher level. But it
may not be as powerful as OpenGL.

For me, I want to visualize volume data after segmentation. Can VTK do
it? Also, before I use it, do I need to triangulish my segmention
result?

The email may be a bit messy, because I just began my work and I am not
