[vtkusers] converting VTK_VERTEX in unstructured grid to polymesh

Hi there,
I have a huge set of point source data. I imported them into an
unstructured grid as VTK_VERTEX. Is there a simple way to make
polymesh so that I can see the surface instead of scattered points? I
tried SurfaceReconstructionFilter, but this method makes the surface in
one color. What I like to do is showing the height field with color map as
in hawaii.tcl.
