[vtkusers] can't display 2D text on SGI Onyx 350

hi guys,

I've successfully built vtk on my SGI Onyx 350 (irix 6.5.24), 
and everything seems fine. But when I ran the examples, I found that
it couldn't display 2d texts created by vtkActor2D/vtkTextMapper and
no error was reported.

Does anyone come across the same problem?

I am using the vtk 4.4 latest release.
