[vtkusers] cuboids in a solid

Hello

I have following problem:
I have an arbritary polyhedron. For example a car boot.
I have also a lot of cuboids with dimensions 200 x 100 x 50 millimetre.
What i want to do is to put as many cuboids in the car boot as possible.
The coboids can have any position. They do not have to be axis aligned 
or something like that.
Does anybody know an algorithm, a person, a group or a hyperlink which 
do research on this problem?
