[vtkusers] How to extract geometry and topology information?

I build a 3D model from a series of 2D medical
images(JPEG images) by using vtkMarchingCubes.Now I
not only want to realize the visualization of 2D
medical images, but also I want to extract the
geometry and topology information of the 3D model to
create a file which contains these information.I don't
know which function and class I should use to realize
data-extraction and file-creation.
