[vtkusers] vtkCutter (i want the points it makes)

vtk ppl,

i'm cutting series of 2d objects (a heart model made up of 2d surfaces) and i
want to be able to access the points that vtkCutter creates to make its (n-1)
dimension cut. the manpages say that the vtkCutter makes a vtkMergePoints??? i
am unsure, but i would like to get the points of the cutter.

any help is appreciated, thanks.
