[vtkusers] Calculate surface of intersection

Can anyone suggest a way to calculate the surface defined by the 
intersection of two vtkPolyDatas?

Also, a similar problem, I have a vtkPolyData set that I'm clipping 
with a plane.  Simply clipping it leaves a hollow object (part of the 
surface has been removed by the clipping).  Can I make the plane 
visible where it intersects the polydata to close the hole?
