[vtkusers] Integrating VTK with ITK

Hi all,
I'd like to know if there is a recommended framework for making ITK and VTK work with each other.  Primarily I am concerned with correlating ITK's mesh data with VTK's polydata and in creating a unified way to keep track of the execution pipeline in both libraries.  Any help or pointers to related documentation on this (or on the general integration of the two libraries)  is much appreciated.
