[vtkusers] how to get the data from vtkPlaneWidget

I need to get the data slice from a plane widget interacting with a 3D 
volume and display the slice in a 2D actor. I tried vtkPolyDataMapper2D 
and vtkActor2D, but it did not work. 

Anyone know this or any suggestions? Thanks!
