For you who are curious,
When running volSimpleLOD.tcl the same symptoms appear namely a white
image with levels 1 and 2 of the lodProp3D. These are raycast mappers.
So it seems nothing to do with textures. What is correct in respect of
the mesa textures demo's who are running correctly.
It remains a mystery to me...
By the way I use a G400Max.

Dear vtkusers,
When using vtkOpenGLVolumeTextureMapper2D to render a volume I get a
white image with DRI enabled. Without DRI the image is correct although
very slow.
The Mesa opengl demos do work with DRI enabled. So it looks like a
problem with the texture mapper.
I've read several messages about problems with texture mapping and DRI
but none with the same problem.
Anyone some suggestions ?
I'm using vtk 4.0 (or 4.1 I don't know how to check that)
xserver-xfree86 4.1.0-16, kernel 2.4.18, debian woody, mga.o and
mga_dri.so from Matrox.
Thanks,
Larry
