[vtkusers] SetPixelFormat failed

Fellow VTK Users:

I attempted to run several VTK examples on a Windows 2000 computer and
received a "SetPixelFormat failed" error for two of them.  I had tested
all of the examples on a Windows 2000 machine previously, so was
surprised to see this error.  One example was a console application and
the other a MFC application, so it wouldn't seem that MFC was at fault.
I believe the console window (for the console app) and the rendering
window opened for both examples, there were just no objects.  Does
anyone know what this error could be caused by?
