Does anybody have experience with SetOffScreenRendering() on the a RH Linux
platform from within the python bindings. Using the RPMs available on the
vtk archive (vtk-3.2-3), and Mesa-3.4-13 or Mesa-4.0.1 I am unable to render
windows offscreen. With a DISPLAY env variable set a window keeps popping
up and without it the program segfaults. I am fairly confident that the OS
capabilities of Mesa is properly compiled into the libraries.
Does the offscreen capability require an X server to connect to?
Thanks for any help.
