[vtkusers] installing VTK4.0

Hi,
   Does anybody can tell me where can I find the information about how
to install VTK4.0 ? it looks different
from version 3.2, when I completed compiling the source code , and run
my program(using Makefile works under
3.2), it tell me can not find system.make and user.make, these two exist
in version 3.2 but not in 4.0......Thanks!
