Quick qn: the docs say vtkImageGaussian works from 1 to 3D ; on a 3D structured points
dataset, does it do  a 3D convolution by doing 3 1D convolutions?  I hope so.

And all of the gradient operators work on 3D structured point data, I assume? (I havent
used it recently)..
