[vtkusers] How to change the data ?

Hello All,
can somebody explain me, how can i change some data in my image?
I read a BMP file with vtkBMPreader, and show it with
vtkRenderWindowInteractor.
But i need to change some data in the picture. I think i have to
fransform this original data after reading, but which class will allow
me to access and change it ?
