Recent reports tell about mouse-interaction problems with 
the MFC "Sample" when using the precompiled binary on the 
CD-ROM.  However, it seems that console applications work 
fine.  This may indicate the precompiled binary was built 
for the single-threaded runtime library, and probably also 
without the flag "VTK_USE_ANSI_STDLIB".  MFC applications
default to the multi-threaded runtime library.  See file 
"vtkSystemIncludes.h" for further details.
