[vtkusers] planar cut in any orientation to a volume

my name is Alberto Fernandez .I am a Masters student working on image
analysis using the vtk program with Java. Please, if somebody could say,

Which is the best form to do a cross-section ( planar cut in any
orientation) to a volume, using the technical VolumePro Rendering
Hardware and using the technical Volumetric Ray Casting?
