I have recently run VTK 3.1 successfully on Linux using a Geforce 2 GTS
(64Mb of memory) card with Xfree 86. The drivers and instructions for
installation were obtained from the Envdia (the chip maker) web site -
sorry I dont have the adress here but it should be easy to find.

I am planning to run VTK on the same card under Windows in the next week
or two.

I will pass on your query to someone with extensive AVS experience and
some VTK experience.
