[vtkusers] VTK and wxWidnows

I'm testing the use of  VTK+wxWindows with C++. For doing this, I've
started from the sources found at http://home.cwru.edu/~bat5/wxvtk.html.
Since I didn't know how to connect a vtk interactor to the wxWindows
message dispatching mechanism, I added some code to manage mouse events,
simply derived from the equivalent wxPython class.

My questions are:

1) has some one already written some more powerfull/rich classes for
displaying vtk windows within WX windows?
2) has some one any idea of how to enable the vtk interactor to receive
signals from wxWindows' widgets?
