[vtkusers] Decimation propagating attribute data?

Hi all,

    I need to decimate triangular meshes in which some edges correspond
to detected real world edges and are marked. This marks are encoded as
lines and should be propagated by the decimation process. If both edge
points of a line are present after the decimation process, the line
should be present too. The lines may be used as constraints of the
decimation, but that is not necessary. Does vtk support this?
