RH6.2, Mesa3.2-2 troubles

Hello,

My apologies if this has already been discussed on this group, but I haven't
found the mail archives. (where are they?)

I am trying to install vtk 3.1 on a fresh redhat6.2 installation. It comes
with Mesa 3.2-2 instead of 3.0. Most of the compilation goes without a
hitch. I did have slight problems with MESA being undefined in
vtkMesaRenderWindow.h. This occured even when --with-mesa was defined
during configuration. The result was some compile errors dealing with
undefined "OffScreenContextId" in the vtkMesaRenderWindow class. Simply
defining MESA solved the problem.

I've run the simple Cone example in python and tcl. Interactions with the
render window work fine. Resizing the window several times, however, causes
a core dump.

Is this most likely an issue with the newer version of Mesa, or VTK, or
something else? If someone had working rpms of vtk3.1, compiled with RH6.2,
that'd be a big help.

thanks,
eric
