[vtkusers] Information Request

Dear VTK Users,

I currently need to develop a stand alone application for the Visualization of 3D space data. The application will also contain a GUI. This stand-alone application module will be linked and communicate with other C/C++ based s/w modules of a bigger system.

I am trying to find out if VTK is appropriate for this job. I would really appreciate it if you could give me any guideline information about that.
