[vtkusers] Building a Java applet

Hi, all!
Could you help me to run a java applet which calls a vtk application on Netscape?
I have read on the User's Guide that  
"... vtk can be made run within a JNI supported browser.
This excludes InternetExplorer  .... But even within JNI supported browers it can be a difficult process.
We recommend that if you use vtk, you plan your development for running within the Appletviewer or as a standard Java
program...."
What can I do?
