Compatible versions of Tcl/Tk

Hi,
Can anyone advise on what versions of Tcl/Tk can be used with vtk.

I am currently using vtk2.3 with Tcl/Tk 8.0.4.

I experimented a while back on a nightly release and seemed to get
vtk2.4 working with Tcl/Tk 8.2 under Windows NT 4.0 but this combination
did not work under Suse (Linux) 6.2.
