[vtkusers] new to vtk

Hi
I am a student doing my project reagarding simulation of a machine using
VTK. Can someone tell me step by step the procedure for running a VTK
application on a PC. The one given in the FAQ doesnot seeem to be working
out for me.I am using VC++ with SP4 installed.
