[vtkusers] Raw files

Hi,
does anyone know how to view a *.RAW file in vtk.Is there an example on the 
web ? I have the vtk 2nd edition bk and the cd...do I need soemthing else 
fro help?I received a .RAW file with 3D data and I'm not sure how to open 
the file and view it in vtk.Help would be most appreciated.
