[vtkusers] Help in images

Hello,
my name is Shiva Bissoon.I am a Masters student working on image analysis 
using the vtk program.I would appreciate some help..I have a .raw file which 
is supposed to be some 3D data acquired.I would like to look at this in 
vtk..how do I go about doing this?also...I have to use a slicer to cut 2D 
images, can you give me any advice..or any tools I might use?Any help is 
appreciated.
