I think you should render your 2D image as a texture on a vtkPlaneSource,
as in ../graphics/examplesTcl/Tplane.tcl. You should be able to rotate the
image in 3D, along with the 3D object.

Hope this works,

Goodwin

Subject:	[vtk] RenderWindow and Images

Dear vtk Users,
I want to createa composition of 3d objects and 2d
images. This works in principle. But as I move the camera
the images don't go with the 3d objects. They stick at a
fixed position. I've read that the textmapper will move the
text around. Is there a similar mapper available that
will do for images?

Thank you,

Roland Schwarz
