Coupling X/Motif and vtk

Hello,

has anyone any experience or possibly sample code for tying together
Motif and vtk?
I would like to integrate a vtkRenderWindow with some Motif widgets. In
those widgets I would like to set parameters for the vtk vis pipeline
and have the vtkRenderWindow update its content according to that.

So basically this is what you can do when coupling vtk and tcl/tk, but I
need to do this in C++ and via x event loops and callbacks directly.

Any help appreciated.
