Texture mapping image to iso-surface

Hi,

    I am trying to texture map an image onto a surface (triangle mesh).
It is
an iso-surface derived by running vtkMarchingCubes on a 3D stack
of medical images (MRI or CT). It cannot be approximated by
a regular geometrical object such as plane, box, sphere or cylinder.

Has anyone done this with vtk ?

Any hints or advice is very welcome
