VTK at Siggraph '99

Hi Folks-

If you're going to Siggraph '99 in Los Angeles (August 9-13) there are several VTK related activities going on:

VTK Special Interest Group (SIG):
	Wednesday 6-8:00pm	
	Los Angeles Convention Center 
	Room: 502B
	Topics: What's new, what's changing, your ideas and input, meet 
		VTK user's and developers

Courses:
	Lorensen: "When All You Have Is A Hammer, Everything Looks 
		Like A Nail" (Tricks and applications of isosurfacing.) 
		Sunday 3:00-5:00.
	Martin, Curless, Schroeder, Lorensen, Schroeder, "Practical 
		Generation of Models from Acquired Data" (model creation 
		from measured data - several people will be VTK-oriented)
		Sunday 1:30-5:00
	Schroeder, Kwan-Liu Ma, Cox, Parker,  "System Designs for 
		Visualizing Large-Scale Scientific Data", (Schroeder will
		review VTK streaming architecture.) Sunday 1:30-5:00
	Lorensen, Rick Avila, Gibson, Pfister, Kaufman, Sramek, Swan,
		"Volume Graphics" (rendering volumes, R. Avila & Lorensen
		are VTK developers)

Exhibition:
	Kitware will be in the MERL (Mitsubishi Elect. Research Lab) booth
	demonstrating "VolView" - volume rendering application that
	drive's MERL's 30 frames/sec. volume rendering hardware. Ken
	Martin, Lisa Avila, Will Schroeder will be manning the booth at
	various times.
