vtk & MacOS

Currently there is not a MacOS version of vtk. However, I know someone 
who _almost_ got it working running an older version of MkLinux (on an
8100, no less). The newer versions, or LinuxPPC, may have fixed it
(Anyone out there know?)

However, it should be noted that it is now possible to add support 
to VTK for the Mac (with HFS+). About 40 files would need to be changed
(estimated by 'grep _WIN32 ...') - Some, like vtkSetGet.h, would require
minor
changes. Others like vtkMultiThreader would be more of a pain.
Who would work on it? I don't know.

Once MacOS X comes out, things should be a wee bit simpler. (with BSD
support.
