interpolate data

Hello,

 I'd like to know if there is an easy way to interpolate the data of a
mesh from the data of some of the mesh points. In other words, if I have
the scalar data of twenty points in a mesh of a thousand points, can I
interpolate the rest of the scalar data from the data I have??
