More on loading vtk libraries into vtk

Yes, I knew of this method of creating a dinamic library to load into
wish, but what I want is to load an individual dinamic library into vtk
(or wish). The problem arises when this library to be loaded is not one of
the configured packages before vtk compilation (with ./configure program).
I could do it at least until vtk 2.2 (I diddn't prove it for vtk 2.3), but
with vtk 2.4 it doesn't work.
I'd like to know if there have been any change which have caused
this.
Thanx.
