I've built projects with Qt4 on 10.12 with Xcode 8, if I recall correctly
was that Qt package wanted to install apps and plugins into forbidden areas
the filesystem (to /Developer/Applications/Qt and /usr/bin) but as long
pieces were installed elsewhere the build went fine. However, we still
build machines here running 10.9 for legacy software.
