[vtk-developers] Future development timeline for VTK on iOS?

Hey David,

To answer your various questions:

iOS support in VTK is still young, yes, but we are encouraging developers
to make the transition. In fact, I've used VTK for several iOS projects
already, including the the project I'm working on today. Aside from a few
minor bugs, I've found it to be 'full-featured,' as you said. We're eager
to support early adopters, especially those who can tell us what's lacking
for them.

Other proposals edged out the KiwiViewer-to-VTK GSoC project, so that's on
hold for now. We would still like to make that port when the resources
become available.

We don't have an exact timeline, but again, I encourage you to try out VTK
for iOS. There are a couple iOS examples in the source tree that are good
starting points.

Hope that helps,
Tim
