<div dir="ltr">Hey David,<div><br></div><div>To answer your various questions:<br><br></div><div>iOS support in VTK is still young, yes, but we are encouraging developers to make the transition. In fact, I've used VTK for several iOS projects already, including the the project I'm working on today. Aside from a few minor bugs, I've found it to be 'full-featured,' as you said. We're eager to support early adopters, especially those who can tell us what's lacking for them.</div><div><br></div><div>Other proposals edged out the KiwiViewer-to-VTK GSoC project, so that's on hold for now. We would still like to make that port when the resources become available.</div><div><br></div><div>We don't have an exact timeline, but again, I encourage you to try out VTK for iOS. Earlier we had anticipated releasing an iOS app to the app store that made use of VES and the KiwiViewer. However, as of February, Apple no longer accepts apps that do not have 64-bit support. Although VTK is supposed to support iOS now, it appears as though
the build is still in an alpha state. Additionally, we noticed that there is VTK 2015 Google summer of code project proposal for to update the KiwiViewer model viewer to work with VTK. What are Kitware’s thoughts about a timeline for a full-featured VTK
and Kiwi or iOS, with maybe Kiwi as a 64-bit app store compliant replacement for the original VES/Kiwi?<br>
