[vtk-developers] git help: 'git gerrit-push' fails with 'fatal: ref HEAD is not a symbolic ref'

Sean,

If the commit has the same change-id as the original gerrit commit, the new
commit will become a new patch to the same gerrit topic.

The --amend retains the original change-id. There are other ways to
accomplish this, but --amend is the easiest and less error prone.
