[vtk-developers] VTK on Mac OS X: Carbon vs Cocoa, change of default

Hi all,

VTK has the VTK_USE_CARBON and VTK_USE_COCOA choices.  The default is
Carbon.  Having both is great.  However, I'd like to propose that the
default be changed to Cocoa.  Why?  Because it is well known that in Mac
OS X 10.5 Cocoa will be available to 64 bit processes while Carbon will
not.  In other words, Carbon has no long term future :(, and IMNSHO
should be discouraged as a default.
