[vtk-developers] Patch for Xcode 1.5/carbon on midworld about scalbl().

schwarzPython fails sporadically on midworld. It's been that way for years
and will probably not show up tomorrow... I suspect there is some sort of
threading or uninitialized driver data that is revealed by that test, but I
have never been able to pin it down.
