[vtk-developers] Performance tuning

I'd definitely go for the 2nd alternative, since any 
performance increase without a significant coding 
overhead is most welcome.

As a side note, my applications runs just
fine on VTK 4.4, while they are extremely
slow on CVS VTK.

Anyway, if the 1st alternative is adopted,
I think that it would be most helpful if a detailed 
description was provided of the changes necessary 
to achieve comparable performance to that of VTK 4.5 and 4.4
(perhaps in the VTK 5.0 User's Guide?)
