Linker Memory Error (LME) numbers are for the most part an unknown.
But Borland has a couple general suggestions re LME:

You might be better off asking the vtk comunity.
Several people there are compiling with BCC 5.5 (BCB5).
There are also a few errors in the latest, including at last one LME..
