[Tubetk-developers] Is there any code available on computing Tortuosity

Hi Ravi,

Thanks for your interest in TubeTK.

At this time, TubeTK does not include the tortuosity code.

The challenge is that UNC has recently been awarded a patent for the
technology.   As a result, the tortuosity code is incompatible with
TubeTK's Apache 2.0 license.

Eventually we hope to release the tortuosity code, but it will be for
non-commercial purposes only unless a license is obtained from UNC. We
will also have to release the code in a separate library or by having
the users "opt-in" to its restrictive license.

Is there a specific project that you would like to pursue with this
code?   I'd be happy to put you in touch with the proper people at UNC
to license the technology or to help you with your experiment in any
way.
