[Paraview] texture dropdown disabled, can't set texture on polygonal mesh

To clarify, the problem is that the image is being "doubled", i.e. wrapped
twice around the sphere in a mirrored fashion.
This happens even if I resize the image to be 1x1 aspect ratio.
